Blog Hop-Just Because

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Easter!  Our week long spring break is over and hopefully everything gets back on a regular schedule, although I'm not really looking forward to getting up early again!  It's really hard to believe it April already!  I've really been enjoying the temperature here in Vegas.  Usually we go from cold to hot and only have about two weeks of "Spring", but it's been so nice! Not too hot, not too cold, sleep with the windows open and driving with the windows down kind of days.  This is really why we live in Vegas--no crazy snowstorms like in many parts of the country.

Well, on to the project for this month.  The theme for this month is "Just Because".  I like this theme, because it can be just about anything!  You shouldn't need an excuse to send a card to someone!

This card was a CASE from Pinterest.  I just loved the cute stitching on the hearts, so I tried it MDS style!  I used Wonderful Whimsies, Hello There, and Crushed Curry large polka dot DSP.  Very simple card.  I added a Vintage Overlay stamp around the edge to give it a sponged look.  I hope I can inspire you to create with MDS, and now you can get your own copy for $19.95, that's $60 off the original price!  Now,  get out there and send a card to someone "just because", but be sure to check out the other blog hoppers first!
Happy hopping!

Sweet Sabbath-Easter 2013

I am so grateful for my Savior and the sacrifice he made for me.  It is his grace that saves me, for I cannot do it for myself, but to show my love and appreciation, I will work every day to be a little bit more like Him.  He is "the way, the truth and the life" and the literal son of God, our Father in Heaven.  I know my life would be empty without Him.

Peace be with you on this Easter Sunday!

Sweet Sabbath

Today was a wonderful day of fasting and testimonies.  There were many testimonies borne of the Savior and His divinity.  How grateful I am for His atoning sacrifice for me, even though I don't deserve it.  I feel like Peter--one moment I am professing my love for my Savior and then I choose to say something I know I should not, or ignore a prompting.  I'm so glad that He allows me to repent, start anew and do better.

Here is a printable I made for this Easter season, I love to have reminders in my home of what this holiday is really about--not just eggs and bunnies and chocolate.

I wish you a very wonderful "holy week" and a beautiful Easter holiday!

I love Stampin' Up!  Have you ever heard me say that?!  They always seem to come up with fun, exciting new products.  They never cease to amaze me, even after more than 16 years of being a demonstrator.  Look at these fun downloads!

The best part is that Stampin' Up! has worked with their suppliers and have been able to offer MDS (formerly MDS2+) for $19.95!  Yep, that's $60 off the original price!!  Is that awesome or what?  If you have MDS2 (without the "+") you will soon be able to download the "+" for free!!  Keep checking back to get more info when it's available.  I am so excited for this opportunity for more people to get their hands on this fun software.  I have several instruction videos on my YouTube channel, so make sure you check those out, too!  Remember, only a few more days for Sale-a-bration, too.

Happy Spring!!

One more week of Sale-a-bration

If you haven't guessed already, I kind of LOVE the Sycamore Street DSP from Sale-a-bration!  Although I'll be sad that I can't use in in demonstrations, I still get to use it in My Digital Studio!  It came on a disk that you can get for FREE when you have a qualifying order, so contact me or go to my website to see all the fun stuff you can get for free, but just for one more week--no pressure!  Don't forget to try the MDS2 30-day free trial while you're there!  So, since it's completely gorgeous here in Southern Nevada, I thought I'd make a fun, bright, cheery card, and what's more fun, bright, and cheery than a pinwheel?  This is made using the Pinwheel die for the Big Shot and all you have to do is put it together, easy peasy, right? Well, only if you have really great vision!!!  Ok, so it took me a bit of time to put the tiny brad though the tiny holes, but I love the final product.  I'm really thinking I need to make a larger one for decoration, so stay tuned!

I also have a fun My Digital Studio card that I created a while ago, but I decided to change up the colors I had originally done the card in and print it through Stampin' Up!'s great printing service.  These colors just say "Spring" to me, don't you think?  I picked them using the color combo selector in My Digital Studio, so I didn't even have to think that hard (I just added the Pale Plum)!

Hope the weather is looking brighter where you are!

Beware, the Ides of March!

Ahh, Julius Caesar...probably not my favorite Shakespeare play, but it's one of the phrases I remember from school!  Sorry it's been so long since I posted!  I just needed to take a little break.  I will be back tomorrow with a fun, happy card to get you in the mood for spring--just a week away!  I hope everyone is doing well and getting over all the gamboo that has been going around.  I've missed out on it so far, but the season isn't over yet, so I'm just being careful.  Here's some pictures of the wonderful rain we got last week with the blooming trees and a quick drive up to Red Rock canyon, it was so pretty!

My lettuce and spinach seedlings are sprouting and I will be planting some strawberries tomorrow.  Yay, spring!!!

Photopolymer Stamps

I remember a few years ago when Shelli Gardner, CEO of Stampin' Up!, said that she didn't think they would ever have photopolymer (clear) stamps because they just were not up to Stampin' Up!'s quality.  Fast forward to today...they have announced a wonderful photopolymer stamp set that is up the the standards that Stampin' Up! is known for.  This stamp set gives a crisp image and still has all the qualities clear stamps are known for.  You can mould these stamps without distorting the image, line up the letters and stamp a word all together, and stamp right where you want without a Stamp-a-ma-jig and all for only $13.95.

What do you think?  Doesn't this look like fun?  I'm putting in an order next week if you're interested (and local) but you can have your very own photopolymer stamp set sent to your very own home if you order from my website.

Have a great day--spring is right around the corner, I can see the blossoms on the trees!

Download Tuesday and Special Birthday Wish

First, and most important, I wish my sweet husband a very happy birthday today!  I am so grateful to have you as a husband and best friend and you are always there for me!  The only time we ever argue is when we are debating about which one of us is more blessed!  I still think it's me!  You're the best!!

Now Easter is just a few weeks away, so if you like to decorate for the holiday, there is a darling new download for you!  Fun patterns, fun cut-outs, fun shapes!  There's a new photobook made just for you Instagramers out there. I'm so new to Instagram, I'm still just getting the hang of it.  I hope you enjoy these downloads--send me a link to your project and I'll share it on my Facebook page!  If you don't have My Digital Studio 2, you can always try it free for 30 days--no risk!

Not Lucky...Blessed!

I don't believe in luck!  Yeah, we say things like "you're so lucky" or "good luck", but I don't believe in being lucky!  I totally believe that we are all blessed in different ways--so we have no need for luck!  Anyway, I thought I'd make a printable for St. Patrick's day that shared that sentiment.
Download

This will print as a 16 x 20, 8 x 10, and 5 x 7 with a little bit of cropping.  I hope you feel as blessed as I do!
