We Create Blog Hop--Fall Fun

It doesn't seem that it should be October already!  I feel like the holidays are going to creep up on me again and as always I won't be ready. Does that happen to you?  When I was at Target a few weeks ago, I was looking at the wall of Christmas lights thinking "Does it really take 3 months to put your Christmas lights up?"  My brain can only focus on one holiday at a time, so this month it's Halloween--YAY!!! If you have followed my blog at all you know that I have a passion for printables.  In fact, I think some of my very first digital projects were Halloween printables, so I say, why mess with a good thing, right?

I've got to look for a perfect frame for this and when I find one, I will post a photo.  Make sure you check out the other Halloween printables on my blog and then hop right on over to see what darling fall project Michelle has come up with this month.

MDS Blog Hop--iPhone 5 Wallpaper

How many of you uploaded iOS 7 this week?  I did finally, after getting a error--I think all of you were crashing the system!  Well, since I've been updating my phone, I might as well update my screens, right?  I have been doing a bunch of MDS stuff for my phone and I will share that with you soon, but for now, I will share my lock screen wallpaper.  The lock screen is the first screen you see with the clock and date at the top and the slider at the bottom.  I designed the wallpapers around those items.  This is how it looks on my phone:

When you download these wallpapers, save to your camera roll, then pick the wallpaper you want to use and select the "share" button.  You will see the option "save as wallpaper", then you can choose which screen you want to save it to.

Here are three different lock screen wallpapers you can use on your iPhone 5.

I hope you enjoy these wallpapers, I will be designing some home screen wallpapers as well!  Check back next week!  Make sure you check in with my talented friends and see the fun things that they have been working on!

I'm looking forward to the high being in the 70's today, it hasn't been that temp since May!
Yay fall!!

23 Years Down, Eternity to Come!

It really doesn't seem like it's been 23 years since we were married, but the adult children and gray hairs tell a different story!  I don't think these young kids had any idea what was in store for them!  I have to say that it's been a wonderful 23 years with the ups and downs of life, but we love to be together, so eternity should be amazing!  A few things about David and me...we met on a blind date in June 1989, he proposed to me on a carriage ride just 4 months later and we were sealed (married) in the Salt Lake LDS Temple almost a year later by my grandfather, Douglas H. Smith.  I have been so blessed by my Heavenly Father with a sweet husband and father to our children, a man who loves the Lord and works very hard to provide for his family, a loyal friend and eternal companion.  He overlooks my weaknesses and puts up with my endless ribbing (he IS fun to tease) but even after all these years, amazingly, we have never had a fight!  Seriously!  We've had our disagreements, but we've never fought with each other!  I know that has been a great blessing for our children.  I look forward to many more years together here in mortality and then one day we will join each other in the eternities--now that's something to look forward to!  You are the BEST, David!  I love you!

St. George Get Together Part 2

I just can't believe how cute these cards are!  Well, I can because we pretty much always have fantastic projects when we go to Jill Olsen's get togethers!  I enjoy the friendships that are made and all of the wonderful ideas that I get!  If there is anything here that you have any questions about, please leave a message for me and I will try to answer it.

I'm still missing a few 3D items that I didn't put together!  Aren't these darling?  I will try and finish up the other projects this weekend and post them on Monday.

I will be having a fun beginning stamp class next Friday, September 27 at 6:00pm at my home.  The class is $5, which will be refunded to you with any $30 order.  If you're in Las Vegas I'd love for you to come!

More on the class next week!

New Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board

Alright my gadget loving friends, this is so cool!  Some of you may actually want to break out your stash of hoarded Designer Series Paper just to make these fun envelopes! {Gasp!!!}  You know who you are!!  Say goodbye to those generic looking gift card envelopes and those plain white card envelopes from the store! (You still buy cards at the store???)  Check out the video and then order yours here!  I'll be putting in an order on Friday, September 27 so use Hostess code CPG9XF3J when you order on my website.

It was still 100 degrees today, but I think a change is in the air--Fall officially starts Sunday!

St. George Get Together Part One

Can I tell you how much I hate taking selfies?  I'm getting old, so my eyes don't work as well at that distance so I'm always squinting to see the screen and it looks weird!  Anyway, this is a pic of Rachelle, Jeanna and me after our all-day stamping get together.  We had such a fun time and all of the projects were fabulous--I hope to make a few as workshops or classes, so get with me if you are interested in hosting a workshop!
I just wanted to share some of the fun swaps I got this weekend.  There were lots of great swaps done and I only made 19 cards, so I got about the same amount back.  The sad thing is that many of my swaps don't have names on them, so if it looks familiar to you, please let me know so I can credit you properly.

I will share some of the fun projects we made at the get together on Thursday, so check back then!

Happy One Year Blog Anniversary...Yesterday!

I was so busy with my girl's trip this weekend that I forgot that my blog celebrated it's first anniversary!  It's been a fun ride so far and I hope that you will stay with me as we keep learning, growing and creating together!  I'll be posting more about my girl's weekend on Monday, so check back in then.  Right now, it's time for me to go to bed--I'm running on little sleep and having a hard time keeping my eyes open!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

MDS Hop--Home Decor

So sorry it's been so long since I posted.  Life just got in the way--as it always seems to! This project is one that I used as my 3D Artisan entry.  This is definitely a labor of love!  I won't tell you how many hours were spent on this project, but it was a lot!  The letters are not fonts, they are all punches or stamp brushes that were cropped!  Yep, you got it, all of these letters are from MDS!  The original Artisan entry was done with a faux canvas wrap in 12 x 12 and it looked like a real wrapped canvas (sorry, no picture)!  I plan on doing more of these for gifts--the only problem is that when I pull up this particular project in MDS it is so component heavy that it takes FOR-EVER to load and change, GRRR!  Hopefully, if I get my upgraded OS for my Mac, it will help a bit.  Anyway, it still looks good in a regular frame.
