We Create Blog Hop--Step it Up March

Well, I'm back...kind of!  The last couple months have been a bit of a whirlwind!  At the beginning of the year, I was asked to be the leader of the women's group at church!  It was definitely not expected, but an absolute honor all the same. So, honestly my life has taken a bit of a turn and my crafting time is taking a hit.  Luckily for me, my daughter will be giving me the gift of her time and talents for my birthday so that we can organize my craft room to make it easier for me to get in and out when I need a quick card or gift.  Organization is great, but if you're not great at it, life can become more crazy than it needs to be.  I still want to create, so stick with me, I'll do my best to keep up with all the girls!

I got my new Paper Pumpkin kit a couple weeks ago and I have been chomping at the bit to get some time to play with all my stuff!

Fun cards, fun colors and fun product all dropped off at my door each month! (ok, not my actual door but my mailbox is not too far from my door!!) This month's kit is called Hello Sunshine and although, sorry, you can not get the actual kit (other than the refill), you can sign up for next month's kit right now!  Stampin' Up! is celebrating 3 years of Paper Pumpkin and I'm sure the next kit will be one that you are going to want!
Most of the projects are really not complicated either!  They can be completed in an evening or a few at a time. You can follow the instructions or you can do your own thing.  If you have more paper crafting products, you can step up the basic card to something a bit different.  That is what I've done! The picture above are the basic "instruction" cards, and I took the last printed flower card and added something different--a die cut tag from the "Chalk Talk" Framelits set.  I sent the tag through the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots embossing folder for texture, then added some Pear Pizzazz 1/4"cotton ribbon and the sentiment and flower die cut sticker that are included in the kit, and it's done!
Just like that! In one night you can have 9 handmade cards with envelopes and still have the stamps and ink spot for other projects you may have.  And don't just think the kits are only cards! There are home decor items, gift bags, tags, scrapbooks and more!  See PaperPumpkin.com for more info.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the bloggers and give them some love!

I can tell spring is just around the corner, I'm so excited for some warmer weather!!
